Decomposed granite has many uses for your Austin, Texas landscape. It is extremely plentiful in the Central Texas area so it is relatively cheap to add to your landscape. A big benefit to replacing grass areas with decomposed granite is for saving water. Lawns are a tricky proposition in the hot Summer months of Austin, so if you can lesson your watering load you are much better off in the long run. Crushed granite looks great and it helps keep your exterior cleaner.
