Split Oak Firewood Oak burns slow and puts off a lot of heat, making it an excellent choice for the heating of a house or cabin. It’s also great for campfires, cooking, and smoking meats. When a fire is started, it needs three things to keep burning: fuel, oxygen, and heat. Split firewood provides a better balance of these three components, making it easier to ignite than whole logs. Oak firewood needs to be dried for a minimum of two years before it is ready to burn, but if you have the capacity to wait even longer – three or four years is best – then it will burn even better.

  1. I am interested in about 1/4 or a cord of wood.

Is your wood seasoned for immediate use?

    Is it Oak? Cost?

Is it possible to have it delivered and stacked?

    Thanks so much!

    • Hi Cynthia,

Yes our seasoned oak is ready for immediate use. We will deliver it and put it where you need it. Typically we sell it by the wheel barrow for $25 dollars, so give us a call at 512-361-0144 and we can discuss the price of your order and the cost for delivery depending on where you are at in Central Texas.

      Thank you very much!
