Thanks for the question. There are 40 bags in a yard. Each bag of dirt weighs 20-30 pounds and is the size of a 5 gallon bucket. If you come by the Rock N Dirt Yard location in Buda, we will bag up all of your landscape materials for you and load them into your car. There is no minimum purchase for delivery. Buying by the bag is a little more expensive than buying in bulk but you will save money in delivery charges. We offer 5 gallon bags/Buckets of all of our landscape materials!
This is self service. Bag/Bucket prices are 10% of cubic yard price. 40 Bags would be equivalent to 1 Cubic Yard. You can bring your own buckets or we have bags here on site along with shovels you can use to bag your materials. Please feel free to call with any questions.

Our delivery to Lockhart is currently $160 per load. We can only deliver 10 yards at a time in our delivery trucks so your order would have to be two trips.
